Borehole Water Treatment | Lancashire
This is an existing customer who has been using a neighbouring borehole supply for a number of years. They have had a water treatment system, installed by Prosep Filter Services, for this existing supply for a number of years. Although they have had no issue with this supply and water treatment system they have recently decided to have their own borehole drilled.
This new borehole supply has been drilled and is extracting water from a different aquifier to the neighbouring supply. Although some of the existing treatment will work, we had to change some of the media to treat the new parameters.
This new borehole water treatment system is to remove Sediment, iron, manganese and also correct the pH of their acidic water.
Water Testing of this new borehole has since shown that the new borehole water treatment system is working as it was designed and the customer now has a safe, clean private water supply,
Existing Systems
At Prosep Filter Services we have taken on many Water Treatment Systems installed by other companies like ourselves. We are always happy to work with new customers.
Water Testing
The starting point for any water treatment design is a representative water analysis that is complete and accurate. Using a UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Two of our engineers, here at Prosep Filter Services, have undergone formal training and are now certified to carry out water sampling to UKAS accredited standards.
pH Correction
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic. Acidic water accelerates corrosion in pipe work, It can also cause staining on fittings in baths, sinks and other appliances. Acidic water can leave a distinctive ‘metallic’ taste when drunk.
Iron & Manganese Reduction
Prosep Filter Services offer various sizes of systems to remove iron and manganese from your private water supply. We have technical experts on hand to help resolve any problems you may have with your borehole or spring water supply.
