This customer, based in West Yorkshire, was carrying out renovations to their property.
Part of the renovation was to install a new water treatment system to bring the water up to current drinking water regulations. The water supply is a spring supply and the water treatment system is to reduce hardness, bacteria and sediment.
After installation, we take a water test to ensure the system is up to standard and the water meets regulation. The water analysis, taken after installation, confirmed the system is working and the property now has safe, clean drinking water.
Ion exchange– to reduce the hardness
Ultraviolet treatment – to eliminate the bacteria by destroying the DNA.
If you are buying or selling a property on a private water supply, a solicitor or mortgage lender could ask for an analysis report to certify the water is safe to drink, for this test to be valid, it must be dated within 5 years, if not it will be deemed obsolete.
Existing Systems
At Prosep Filter Services we have taken on many Water Treatment Systems installed by other companies like ourselves. We are always happy to work with new customers.
Water Testing
The starting point for any water treatment design is a representative water analysis that is complete and accurate. Using a UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Two of our engineers, here at Prosep Filter Services, have undergone formal training and are now certified to carry out water sampling to UKAS accredited standards.
pH Correction
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic. Acidic water accelerates corrosion in pipe work, It can also cause staining on fittings in baths, sinks and other appliances. Acidic water can leave a distinctive ‘metallic’ taste when drunk.
Iron & Manganese Reduction
Prosep Filter Services offer various sizes of systems to remove iron and manganese from your private water supply. We have technical experts on hand to help resolve any problems you may have with your borehole or spring water supply.
Bacteria
The UV-PRO range of ultra violet sterilisers, by Prosep Filter Services, are versatile units for domestic applications designed to kill waterborne bacteria using the proven method of exposure to ultra violet light.
