Relocation of Borehole Water Treatment System, Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire
This is a system which was installed by Prosep Filter Services several years ago.
This water treatment system is used on a borehole supply in an old Yorkshire farmhouse, which the owner is going to renovate over the coming years. The system was installed in a location that suited the customer when moving into the property. It gave the customer safe drinking water whilst they planned the work to be carried out on the property.
With planning permission granted by Kirklees Council, we revisited the site, along with the builder, to decide where best to relocate the system.
The relocation was carried out in June 2024. Once re-installed in the new position, we conducted a full system service, meaning all mechanical parts were replaced giving the system a fresh start in it’s new home!

Water Testing
The starting point for any water treatment design is a representative water analysis that is complete and accurate. Using a UKAS Accredited Laboratory. Two of our engineers, here at Prosep Filter Services, have undergone formal training and are now certified to carry out water sampling to UKAS accredited standards.
pH Correction
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic. Acidic water accelerates corrosion in pipe work, It can also cause staining on fittings in baths, sinks and other appliances. Acidic water can leave a distinctive ‘metallic’ taste when drunk.
Bacteria
The UV-PRO range of ultra violet sterilisers, by Prosep Filter Services, are versatile units for domestic applications designed to kill waterborne bacteria using the proven method of exposure to ultra violet light.
Iron & Manganese Reduction
Prosep Filter Services offer various sizes of systems to remove iron and manganese from your private water supply. We have technical experts on hand to help resolve any problems you may have with your borehole or spring water supply.
